Job Title: MS Volleyball Coach Salary: $3,007.00
Reports To: Athletic Director Duration: MS Volleyball Season Job Purpose: To develop and direct a total middle school volleyball program. Job Qualifications: To apply candidate must have or be willing to obtain Oregon Coaching Certification and verification of approved concussions awareness course. Must be able to work as a team leader, and coordinate program with the building wide academic and co-curricular programs. Should have experience in coaching volleyball and conditioning training. Ability to obtain CPR and first aid certification is required. Job Description: The coach will be responsible for implementing a coaching philosophy that promotes the expectations of school athletics and activities. Will be responsible for training athletes and preparing them for interscholastic competition and developing their skills at a competitive level. Will be responsible for the inventory, ordering, program budget, and program evaluation. Will enforce discipline, nurture student needs, and model sportsman-like behavior at all times. Will work within the OSAA rules and philosophy for extracurricular activities as stated in the OSAA manual. Work under direct supervision of the athletic director. Certification Requirements: Must have a current OSAA Coach Certification and PACE Trainings on/or before the first contract day. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general and technical procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, custodial team and maintenance department employees. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and community. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
